why cyan?

the color cyan has followed me around for years. the flash of a robin’s-egg blue pickup truck, the morning sky well past sunrise, the deep and endless ocean. this specific color of blue spoke to me in my daily life, found me on sides of buildings in cinderblock relief, called to me from clothing, signs, the sea & sky. i couldn’t understand why noting this color in the world became such a meditation for me. why seeing it made me feel some needed sense of ease. then it clicked. a message from beyond.
